Hello everyone! Today I officially graduated from my master's degree!!
It's surreal to write that, LOL!! Over the past years, and especially during the final stretch, university took up a huge amount of my time and energy, and between assignments, projects, internships, and my thesis, art often ended up being pushed to the side.. Even so, I never completely gave up on it?
One thing that helped tremendously was the support I've received here on Newgrounds!! Whether it was feedback, encouragement, conversations, or simply seeing other artists share their work and progress, it helped keep my interest in art alive during a very busy period of my life!
I especially want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey here. you made pursuing art feel possible even when I wasn't able to dedicate as much time to it as I wanted!
Now that I've finally finished university, I can slowly start focusing on art again! One of the biggest things I'm excited about is that I recently enrolled in 21 Draw and purchased access to their courses!!
For a long time I've wanted to properly learn fundamentals such as perspective, construction, camera angles, composition, and all the other skills that go into creating strong artwork! Thanks to recommendations and discussions from people in the Newgrounds art community, I finally discovered 21 Draw and decided to take the plunge!
I'm still very much a beginner and I have a lot to learn, but I'm excited to see where this journey takes me! It's funny to think that I decided to seriously give art another chance around the same time I was working on my master's thesis, LOL!!
Thank you all for your support, encouragement, and friendship.
Here's to new beginnings, continued learning, and making more art!!
I've also created a graduation-themed pixel illustration to celebrate the occasion:
